Merry Christmas one and all!

Christmas is upon us and it's time to reflect over the past year at Bar and In H.Q as there has been no let up in matches covered in 2012 with some memorable moments amongst the pile.

Leicester City have spent big and are far from being out of the mix for premier league status next season. Burton have yet to find consistency under Gary Rowett but the signs of a good team continue to grow with impressive home form.

As for our travels we've been to Scotland, Spain and Bavaria this year and neither have disappointed. Glasgow gave us an original derby between Rangers and Queens Park at a packed Ibrox with the home side running out victorious.A tour of the Bernabeu stadium in Madrid gave amazing insight into the history of Real Madrid C.F and just what that stadium must be like on a match day, there are plans in the pipeline for a Madrid weekender next year with a possible five teams to go and see, whats not to like?

Bavaria for me was a real highlight of the year's football with new grounds at Augsburg, Unterhaching and Furth coupled with a visit to the Allianz arena did the trick as far as football was concerned yet the real surprise was how amazing the city of Munich was and the surrounding area with natural beauty and great people, well worth a visit.

On a final note, those of you who are reading this or have read these posts throughout 2012 or even just the odd few, many many thanks for taking the time out of your day. The number of visitors to the site has more than doubled in the last 12 months which is amazing and much appreciated. Have a fantastic Christmas and an even better 2013 which we will be kicking off with a trip to York to watch Burton take on City.
